Wisconsin College Savings Program Board

The Wisconsin College Savings Program Board has administrative and oversight authority for the Edvest and Tomorrow's Scholar 529 plans. The Board was established in 1999 (Wisconsin Act 44) and consists of five ex-officio members, including the secretary of the Department of Financial Institutions, the president of the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System, the president of the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the chairperson of the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, the president of the Wisconsin Technical College System Board, and six public members. Ex-officio members may appoint designees to serve in their place. Public members are appointed by the governor for four-year terms. In 2017, Wisconsin Act 57 transferred activities of the College Savings Program to the Department of Financial Institutions.
